Mr. Schlesinger has lectured on numerous family law topics for various sponsors of continuing legal education including the Missouri Bar and the University of Missouri-Columbia. Mr. Schlesinger is also an adjunct instructor at the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
Mr. Schlesinger's teaching skills are exceptionally helpful in explaining to clients the court procedures involved in family law matters. He has the capacity to clearly articulate the steps that need to be taken to accomplish a client's desired result. He is pragmatic and patient. Other lawyers in the Firm utilize Mr. Schlesinger often as the point person in working with clients to prepare them for depositions and trial. He has an intuitive sense of what the judge really needs to know and is able to cut through mounds of evidence to prioritize what is most critical.
As a trial lawyer, Mr. Schlesinger is thorough and well organized. Judges consider him an outstanding advocate and are always happy to see him in settlement conferences, motion hearings, or trials. They know he is a person of his word and a very credible attorney. He is well liked by his colleagues and as a result is often able to achieve a favorable resolution of a legal matter without trial.
Mr. Schlesinger represents clients in family law cases focusing on complex asset, spousal support, prenuptial agreements, surrogacy, and assisted reproductive techniques. Mr. Schlesinger also represents clients in the estate planning that inevitably follows family law cases. He is a member of the Family Law Sections of the Missouri Bar and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. He holds the "AV" rating of the Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory, the highest rating that can be achieved.
Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal is a full service law Firm. That benefits family law clients by having attorneys in the Firm that specialize in business, taxes, corporations and estate planning which, in turn, allows cost effective handling of complicated cases involving business valuations, business issues, and tax problems.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Schlesinger is a member of the Board of Directors of the Women's Safe House, a shelter dedicated to providing safety and shelter for abused woman and children, as well as the education and resources necessary to help them build a better future.
