In September 2011, the State Department sent me to Brazil to work with prosecutors, judges and non-governmental agencies in advancing the implementation of their first law criminalizing domestic violence against women.
I have also presented on this issue in Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Russia and the Czech Republic.
It is a great feeling to be able to help keep women safe in their homes.
