Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal family law attorney Susan E. Block has been appointed to serve on the Missouri Supreme Court Commission on Racial and Ethnic Fairness. She will be participating in the Juvenile Subcommittee.
Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice Patricia Breckenridge made the announcement of the formation of this Commission in her State of the Judiciary address at the recent annual Missouri Bar meeting.
Block has a long history of involvement in juvenile law, having served as Administrative Judge of the Family Court of St. Louis County, overseeing the policies and practices of juvenile matters.
Currently, in her private practice, she represents juveniles and their families in delinquency and abuse and neglect cases as an advocate. She also handles adoption and petitions for orders of child protection.
The recipient of many awards for her service, include recognition by CASA, the Children’s Division, the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition, and the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Block was selected as the Andrew Jackson Higgins Excellence in Juvenile Justice awardee by the Missouri Juvenile Justice Association.
She has served on the Missouri Supreme Court Family Law Committee and the Commission on Gender Fairness.
Since her retirement as a judge in 2004, she has been an attorney with the law firm of Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C.
