Thomas Blumenthal, a founding member of Paule, Camazine & Blumenthal, P.C. has been selected by the American Civil Liberties Union of Eastern Missouri to receive the 2011 Civil Liberties Award. In a letter congratulating Tom on this honor, ACLU of Eastern Missouri president, Mondi Ghasedi, cited his "long and consistent work to protect our fundamental freedoms." Ghasedi further noted, "For nearly 25 years you helped keep the ACLU-EM on course and true to its mission. You brought a keen intellect and keen sense of duty to every role--cooperating attorney, board member, board president--and because of you, many citizens remain hopeful of preserving a strong, vibrant Bill of Rights." The award that, in Ghasedi's words, "signals the utmost respect" of Tom's colleagues, will be presented at the ACLU's annual Bill of Rights Celebration, to be held this year in St. Louis on September 16, 2011.
